The Extended Invitation...

Invitation- in·vi·ta·tion (noun): (1) The act of inviting. syn: invite, request, urge, open door

An invitation, an open door, an urge or request. Its a choice, when we receive an invitation we have 2 choices accept the invitation or turn down the invitation. Invitations invite us to be apart of something beyond ourselves. We receive wedding invitations, birthday party invitations and baby shower invitations. Usually when we receive invitations it is because there is a celebration that we are being invited to attend - go to and join someone else in celebration. Although weddings, birthdays and baby's are all joyous celebrations. There is an invitation that is even better - an invitation that I accepted a long time ago - the invitation to surrender my life for something BIGGER than myself. An invitation to daily give up my life and die to self. By accepting this invitation it has opened the door to accept other invitation MUCH bigger than myself.
Several weeks ago I accepted an invitation to GO - an invitation to be apart of something MUCH bigger than I could have ever dreamed, to be apart of a story that began BEFORE. I. WAS. BORN. the invitation was for me to GO and my RSVP? YES! I will GO!

I will GO to the broken, I will GO to the hopeless, I will GO to the hungry, thirsty and needy. I will GO and love with His love, serve with His hands and give of myself.
However, I think many times we get it wrong - we feel as though if we don't physically go then we can't rejoice or celebrate but I want to encourage you that you're RSVP can be YES - YES through supporting, giving and praying!

So here I am extending the same Invitation that was extended to me to YOU. Will you RSVP "YES" to jump on this journey with me? Will you help me 'GO'?  Will you Pray? Support? Encourage?

The invitation has been extended and the door has been opened for you to join me on this journey - join me through praying, encouraging and giving to get to the soil of UGANDA!

The Door is Opened....

What will your RSVP be?
